The WBBL Brisbane Heat travel to Melbourne tomorrow to take on the Stars on Sunday with the prospect of potentially hosting next weekend’s rebel Women’s Big Bash League Finals series.
The Heat, Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers all remain in contention to finish on top and host the two semi-finals and Final at home if they finish on top of the ladder on Sunday.
Brisbane has retained its same squad of 13 for the Stars match; with the Heat coming off their first loss after a seven-game winning streak.
The Melbourne Renegades successful chased down the Heat’s total of 4-183 at Allan Border Field on Wednesday.
Heat opener Beth Mooney continued her form surge, with her 86 off 57 balls taking her to 622 runs at 69.11, narrowly ahead of Strikers’ NZ international Sophie Devine.
The Finals series will feature both semi-finals on Saturday followed by the Final on Sunday, all at the same venue.
